Experience as related to Secretary/Treasurer

Professionally I have worked in the food industry for 32 years and have also directed or managed a Trade Management/Sales Finance Department which is the Accounting/Financial side of Marketing, today I manage over $100MM annually.

I have had various Secretary/Treasurer roles within the church/non-profits as well as other organizations.

I have project managed teams across the country for proper workflow, documentation, action items, etc., for a common goal and have streamlined processes and had value add and as both monetary and time savings to the organization.

In keeping in line with the outlined roles & responsibility of the Secretary/Treasurer for the AHN would be the starting point. Manage the financial records, attend Executive Board Meetings, document meeting notes of key discussions and action items that were discussed within those meetings, and attend conferences as able. Communicate those things to the Board and also communicate required information to the members as assigned.

I envision following in the steps of the previous Secretary/Treasurer and where needed, raising the bar in financial management, accountability and speaking the truth in love to power. I am a no-nonsense leader that can also follow leadership and not afraid to offer a different perspective. I am a grounded anti-racist and have lead group studies on the topic and have navigated conflict amongst diverse races. I am confident in my skills to serve the network in this capacity.
